At the center of Christian community is the Gospel. The good news that Jesus gave his life for us so we could be forgiven of our sins and united to God.
When we come together as a group, much like the disciples, we laugh together, we share meals together, we hear and discuss the teachings of Jesus, we watch God change our lives, and we remember the cross of Christ.
One of the best ways to wrap up the groups year is to have a party and dinner together. And one of the best ways to remember the Gospel is by celebrating communion over a meal together.
As we wrap up the last 2 weeks of our groups year, your group may want to take one night of group to celebrate the Gospel through communion and a meal together.
Dinner & Conversation: As you eat dinner, you could continue discussing our parenting sermon series or you might consider asking for each person to share what God has used most to help them grow this year. It could be a specific sermon, book, passage of the Bible, relationship, or circumstance that most influenced their life this year.
Communion Instructions: After dinner you can celebrate communion together with your group. You can find instructions for doing communion in your group HERE.
Are You Prepared For The Summer?
End of the Trimester Feedback Forms
One of the best ways to set your group up for future success is to get feedback from your group members about their experience this year.
Have your group fill out the End of the Trimester Feedback Form during group so you will be sure to get them back. Then review them with your co-leaders as you plan for Community Group this fall.
You can find the feedback forms at your campus Info Center this Sunday or download a copy HERE.
Summer Plans
It is never too early to start planning for the summer. Put some dates on your calendar now for summer social gatherings with your group. If it's not on the calendar, it won't happen.
