Depression

Navigating the Darkness of Depression

As you facilitate discussion this week, focus more on getting everyone sharing than getting through the questions.

If someone is struggling, take time to listen to them, and restrain from giving much advice. Let them feel heard.

If you encounter someone considering self-harm, please call:

  • The national crisis hotline is: 988

  • The local crisis hotline: 585-275-8686

Reach out to your Coach or Campus Pastor for further support.

Dark Surroundings

This is the first week of our 7-week Spring Trimester. The next several weeks are covering some heavy topics (Depression, Lust, and Pride). If you or your group members would like more help as you work through these issues, be sure to go to iwant.info to sign up for a growth plan each week.

We always encourage each group to set Growth Goals at the beginning of the trimester, and then keep each other accountable with your progress over the next few months. This trimester, your group could work on memorizing scripture together, using the verse cards we’ll be providing each week. You might consider using some of your prayer time each week to recite the passages together.

If you have further questions or need help with anything, be sure to reach out to your Groups Coach.

Not Today

2018.04.15 - Drew Karschner- "Not Today" Part 2 of the "Silent Killers" series How you feel about yourself and your life is important. Many people live life without hope for themselves or the life they are living. They wonder if they were gone if anyone would even notice, and thoughts like this consume them. If these thoughts stay hidden long enough, the cost can be great.
